Why I learned to dance

In 1983, I answered and ad in the newspaper. A local Fred Astaire had opened a studio here in Savannah and they were starting a training school for teachers. The ad said they were looking for people with experience in drama or dancing. I had no experience in dancing but had experience in dram so I applied. At the time I was single and extremely shy and figured that if I learned to dance I could develop a skill that would allow me to meet women. If the conversation lulled then I could take her on the dance floor where I could let my feet do the talking.
